| As for the solar industry, we contribute to a higher productivity and a reduction of the substrate damaging. Based on our air bearing technology, we develop innovative solutions. With nearly forceless suckers and stick-slip-free bearings up to highest temperatures, these solutions make new perspective on transportation, when handling and for the machining of thin-film und silicon solar cells possible. |

| | | | air-guided squeegee unit with highest uniformity of squeegee force | | | | Air-guided squeegee unit for screen printing
Uniformity and precision of the squeegee force on the substrate (solar cell) are important for the constant coating thickness and the substrate failure rate. Our squeegee units are completely air-guided which means that both the bearing as well as the pneumatic piston for initial tension are contact-less and stick-slip-free.
The force of the squeegee affecting the substrate is adjustable by the air pressure with a tolerance of 0.1 N; the force only depends on the precision of the pneumatic valve. The squeegee can be moved up and down pneumatically.

| | | | air-guided plate for contact-less transportation of glass substrates | | | | Air-guided conveyors and process plates
Currently, AeroLas manufactures customized conveyors with a size of up to 1.9 m x 2.4 m. Depending on the material, these plates may be applied for thin-film processes with temperatures up to 400° C. Moreover, it is possible to intergrate vacuum nozzles between the air nozzles or other functionalities as for instance lift pins for the handling of the substrates. As for high-end applications, we manufacture air-guided chucks with integrated vacuum nozzles with a flatness of up to 5 µm at a size of 1.5 m x 1m.
